Day of Service

Our Day of Service is a totally customizable missions opportunity based on your needs and availability.  Because we have built partnerships with many different programs and organizations over the years, we can find service opportunities for your group that are both meaningful for your participants and make a lasting impact in our community.  Whether you’d like to serve with a local preschool or spend the day working on fixing up the home of a local person in need or if you’d like to volunteer at a local shelter or take lunches into center city to feed the homeless, we can help to facilitate an amazing service experience for you.

What is the structure of the trip?

That is up to you! We are excited to communicate with you exactly what your day with us can look like. Groups typically arrive at 9am and serve at their ministry site until 3pm. Again, this trip is totally customizable. Do you want us to plan out a full day including a ministry site, lunch, dinner, and evening programming or do you simply want help locating a partner ministry to serve with? Let us know what we can do to curate the experience you are looking for.

How much does it cost?

The cost per participant is $30. This helps to cover the cost of materials, lunch, and staffing.  Please make checks payable to The Philadelphia Project, 8230 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128.

How will we get there?

Groups are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Philadelphia. Groups are also responsible for transportation for members of their team, plus an extra seat per ministry team for Philadelphia Project staff.
