Spring Break Page

Our Spring Break trips provide unique and powerful service and mission opportunities for college ministry groups. Students are challenged to think critically about how God’s Word speaks to social and spiritual issues. Students are given an open lab to apply God’s word through wholehearted service in our community. Our prayer is that God uses this time of reflection and action to make an eternal impact on young adults and those they serve, as well as a visible impact offering hope and restoration to our community.

Join us this Spring Break to explore your call to act justly in an unjust world, better understand your call to serve God holistically through word and action, enjoy a shared mission experience with your college group, and build on your ministry’s existing community through small groups, worship & outreach.

What is the structure of the trip?

Spring break trips are typically Friday evening-Wednesday morning. Join us for nightly worship and Bible teaching, service days at our ministry sites Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, worship at a partner church Sunday morning, a night of sightseeing that evening, and a time of reflection and celebration Wednesday morning.

How much does it cost?

The cost per participant is $250. A $50 per participant non-refundable deposit is due with your registration in order to hold your spot. Final amount of $200 per participant is due when your group arrives.  Make checks payable to The Philadelphia Project, 8230 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128.

Where will we eat, sleep, and shower?

Groups will stay at one of our partner churches. Everyone will sleep on a mattress and will need to bring bedding (pillow, sleeping bag/sheets/blanket).

Meals and evening worship will be at our partner church, Roxborough Church. All meals are provided from Saturday Breakfast to Wednesday Breakfast.

Groups will shower at a number of partner sites including churches and the YMCA.

How will we get there?

Groups are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Philadelphia. Groups are also responsible for transportation for members of their team, plus an extra seat per ministry team for Philadelphia Project staff.

Sight-seeing in Philadelphia

Groups have one “Night out on the town” – an evening off during their week to relax, sight-see, and grab dinner together in Philadelphia. Groups are responsible for all expenses during this time, including dinner and transportation. The Philadelphia Project can provide directions and suggestions for groups unfamiliar with the city. If you would like to extend your stay in Philly to allow for site-seeing in Philadelphia on Wednesday, please speak with the staff when you register your group so that we can help you plan accordingly.
