YL Intern – Hospitality & Programming

The Year Long (YL) Intern for Hospitality & Worship will be a part of ensuring that all groups serving with The Philadelphia Project have a good experience. This YL Intern will be host to teams that come throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring. They will also be a part of the team that puts on our evening worship program for participants. This position includes serving at TPP’s afterschool program 4x a week.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hospitality (40%)

  • Under the guidance of the Director, work with groups from registration to arrival and departure to ensure all necessary information is collected from and disseminated to groups
  • In collaboration with other program staff, plan and implement housing, meals, and snacks for groups that serve from September to May

Worship (25%)

  • Provide assistance in implementing worship and evening programming for groups that come to The Philadelphia Project throughout the year
  • Provide assistance in implementing worship and evening programming for club takeovers at partner churches
  • Cultivate a culture of prayer and worship at The Philadelphia Project

Fuel (25%)

  • Facilitate a group of students 4x a week
  • Invest in your group of students, aiming to build personal relationships with each of them in their families.
  • Lead electives and occasionally Bible discovery time
  • Communicate openly with students and parents regarding discipline
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment and ensure that the daily cleaning responsibilities are being executed with fidelity
  • Provide servant leadership and direction for any assistants, substitutes, interns, or volunteers

General (10%)

  • Meet regularly with the Director of Missions, working to set and meet SMART goals
  • Participate in all staff meetings, training, and retreats
  • Raise full financial support


  • Maintain an active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Maintain a positive, teachable attitude in all things
  • College graduate or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong organizer
  • Experience and/or training in musical worship, preferred
  • Strong interest in hospitality and community building, preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, preferred
