Meet our Team

  • Raymond Garcia is the founder and Executive Director of The Philadelphia Project. He currently serves as Lead Pastor of a partner Church, Roxborough Church as well as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Delaware County Christian School. Married to Michelle, they have four children: Isaiah, Nathan, Cadence, and Thomas. Together they serve as the visionaries of TPP, working closely with the Board of Directors to prayerfully cast the direction and mission of The Philadelphia Project. His vision for The Philadelphia Project dates back to 1996 and has been shaped and molded by more than 100 individuals that God has aligned him with over the years.

 
  • Courtney joined The Philly Project team after spending 7 years on summer and full-time staff with the Pittsburgh Project! Courtney is from Lebanon, PA. She works hard to make sure all aspects of service trips are fun and impactful for those who come and serve!

 
  • Alena Beeman joined TPP staff in the Fall of 2018. She currently serves as Program Coordinator for Atonement After-School at the Church of Atonement. She enjoys how every day she has the opportunity to invest in the lives of young students while helping them through their school work. It has been a blessing to work with TPP and the people at Atonement to grow this program. When she is not working, she loves spending time reading, baking, exploring outdoors, or going on adventures with her family. She looks forward to all that God is going to continue to do through the ministry here in Germantown.

 
  • Kristin Milley has been involved with The Philadelphia Project as a grant writer since June of 2011. Since that time she has helped The Project receive both grants and the donation of other goods ranging from hot dogs for their barbecues to construction materials. A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, Kristin’s grant writing is an outgrowth of her work as an Architectural Preservationist. Kristin attends Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown, PA where she is on the Property Committee. She lives in Wyncote with her husband and 2 children.

 
 
 
 
  • David joined the project in January 2018 as the business manager, became the Deputy Director in 2020, and the Director of Finance & Operations in 2022. In this role, David is responsible for managing the financial, human resource and administrative functions of TPP. He graduated from Eastern University with a dual M.Div/MBA. He and his wife Mesha and son Jaythan live in Drexel Hill. They are a part of City Line Church where David serves as Interim Pastor.

  • Jermaine joined TPP in the Spring of 2020 as the Construction Coordinator. He works with homeowners, church partners, and plays a key role in training Summer of Service Construction Interns. Jermaine lives in North Philly with his wife and three sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in his church congregation.

 
  • After much prayer and discernment, Michelle and her husband Raymond launched The Philadelphia Project in 2010. While she continues to be a prayerful visionary for TPP, she also serves as the Coordinator of Events & Donor Communications. Together they have four children: Isaiah, Nathan, Cadence and Tommy. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University and is a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Bryn Mawr, PA.

 
  • Quinn joined The Philadelphia Project in the Summer of 2017 as our administrative coordinator and continues to love and take pride in TPP’s mission. Quinn comes to work everyday with a smile and excited to help others!
