July Monthly Minute: Home Owner-Ms. Lola

If you've been following TPP for a bit, you might have met Ms. Lola at our annual Donor Dinner or served at her home. You also may have read about how many lives she's touched over the years. One of the significant ways we serve our neighbors, here in Philadelphia, is through our Home Repair Ministry.

TPP has been working in Ms. Lola's home for the last few years, and we are wrapping up our work this summer! There isn't a corner in her home that we have yet to touch. Every person who has walked into Ms. Lola's house with the intent to be a blessing to her, has left having been blessed themselves by merely being in her presence.

There are three final projects at her home before we can remove our tools.

  1. New windows

  2. Finishing touches on the remodeled kitchen

  3. Completing the renovated bathroom

While we love to finish a job and move on to new homes, we are thankful that the relationships formed with our homeowner's can be maintained even when we are gone. We're also thankful that this Fall, we will be launching worksites with two new homeowners in Germantown and Mt. Airy.
